I make art because I am drawn to the quiet details of the world around me. From the notes of a bird’s song to the fluid motion of creatures beneath the surface, I am fascinated by form, texture, and presence. Growing up in the southern woodlands and sea, I watched closely and learned to slow down, to really see. That simple act of attention became the foundation of my work. My art is a way of sharing that focused love of nature with others

I work primarily in pen & ink, choosing a medium that allows for both precision and subtle gradation. Each piece begins with careful study, whether from life, reference, or memory. I build line by line, letting the drawing emerge at its own pace rather than forcing it. This method keeps my process grounded and intentional. I want viewers to feel invited in, to explore surface and shape at their own speed.

The natural world remains a central focus in my work because it holds both motion and stillness at the same time. I am drawn to the quiet tension between energy and calm, where life feels present but unforced. That balance creates a sense of harmony that continues to inspire me. In every piece, I work to reflect that steady rhythm and quiet strength.

Ultimately, my work is about life. I want people to encounter something familiar yet new, to pause for a moment longer, and to notice something they might otherwise overlook. The quiet rhythms in nature remind us that every surface has a story and every form has intention. Through careful observation and thoughtful rendering, I hope my art encourages a deeper look at the world we share.

I love music and always work with music in the background.
